Rob was born in Harrogate, UK in 1962. Even as a young boy he was fascinated by mechanisms and finding out how things work. After ten years as a classroom teacher Rob continued to persue his interest, building a new career designing and making models from cardboard and other 'found' useful objects and materials.
Fast forward to the present day and Rob now combines scientific, artistic and IT skills to develop imaginative automata, kits and books. Living in Yorkshire(UK), Rob is delighted to share his insights into creativity, the design process and cardboard engineering. He works with children and teachers both at home and abroad, in person and online.
