Angel Moon is one of the hottest stars on today’s scene. Tamara Twinkle, reporter for news channel Modern Angel sits down with her to ask 20 Questions:
1. Are you a Glass-half-full or Glass-half-empty kind of person? Definitly Half Full. I’ve had my ups and downs in life, but when I look up at the stars all my worries seem so small and unimportant.
2. If you could be in a movie, what would it be? Star Wars—the part of Princess Leia, of course.
3. What is your proudest accomplishment? When I flew to the moon and filled a rubbish bag with moondust and brought it back to sprinkle over all the Earth. It glittered like diamonds!
4. Who is your hero? My dad. He’s an astronomer at an observatory on top of a mountain. He uses a gigantic telescope to chart the stars and look for anomalies in space. I help him on weekends.
5. Who is your best friend? That’s an easy one—Mars! She may be small but she’s a big part of my life. We do everything together. While I’m the impulsive one, she is the voice of reason.
6. Who is your favourite pop star? Ziggy Stardust.
7. What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done? Once, I was late for a party, so I hitched a ride on the International Space Station—it was travelling at 16,000 mph at the time!
8. What’s your favourite artwork? Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh.
9. What’s your favourite movie? A Star is Born.
10. What‘s your favourite food? I have a weakness for anything sprinkled with stardust.
11. What’s your morning routine like? My day doesn‘t really begin until it gets dark and the stars come out, but before I start flying I hit Starbucks for a coffee and muffin to go.
12. Tell me about your first job. That was a long time ago. I used to work for Cleopatra. All I did was sweep sand out of the throne room. So boring. I did get to see the pyramids though.
13. What do you feel are the most important things in life? Looking back, I don’t remember things, stuff I’ve bought, just the experiences I’ve had. Also, I think it’s important to be kind.
14. What is your spirit animal? A Starling.
15. If there was a book about you what would be the title? Starstruck. Little Angel in a Big Sky.
16. Do you have any upcoming travel plans? I always have travel plans! Tonight I’m flying to the southern hemisphere — the Southern Cross constellation is especially beautiful this time of year.
17. What advice would you give your 18 year old self? Well, I’m almost 3000 years old so...
18. Has anything ever happened to you that you cannot explain? I spend most of my time among the stars, so I’ve seen some amazing things, but once I saw a UFO — it looked kind of like a pink star but it zigzagged across the sky like a crazy meteor!
19. Of what are you most afraid of? Getting hit on the head by space junk in low earth orbit!
20. What’s one thing about you that surprises people? Most people don’t realize that I’m made of wood.

ilobuild.com  Far to the north lays a land where herds of reindeer track a boundless layer of deep snow. On the outskirts of a small village in this frozen land lived two brothers, Ingvarr and Ikka, true masters of the art of woodcraft. Ingvarr, the elder, was content to carve intricate little birds for the village children, or to turn birch bowls on his ancient lathe, while Ikka was inspired to push the boundaries of what was possible with a simple plank of wood. Working in their shared workshop one day, Ikka observed his brother carving yet another little bird, and wondered if there might be a better way to make many birds quickly, so children everywhere could have them! And so Ikka began experimenting, first with simple hand tools, but after a time realising that he would need to build a kind of machine that could do the work of many tools at once. After years of success and failure, a crude prototype was built, only capable of simple operations, but the principle was sound.

Within minutes of switching on his machine, Ikka was holding a small wooden bird in his hand. With Ingvarr smiling beside him, his heart filled with joy, or as they say in their land, ilo.
